TIG welding is the preferred method for stainless steel because it provides precise heat input control and minimal material distortion. When welding stainless steel, the use of back-purge gas is critically important to prevent oxidation on the root side of the weld. Livemet OÜ uses argon back-purging on all stainless steel welding operations, ensuring complete corrosion resistance of the weld seam.
